Annual holiday costume run returns to UC Irvine

More than 2,500 costumed runners are expected to take part in the fourth annual Run for a Claus at UC Irvine on Saturday, Dec. 2.
The event features a 5K and 1-mile kids run/walk, as well as a holiday expo with family entertainment and free pictures with Santa Claus. All runners receive a Santa hat and beard before the run and a medal and a mug for hot cocoa when they finish.
It also serves as a “run for a cause” and will benefit local charities such as Toys for Tots, Salvation
