Angels working on deal for Anthony Rendon

SAN DIEGO — A day after losing out on the best pitcher on the free agent market, the Angels were working toward a deal with Anthony Rendon, the best hitter on this winter’s market.
The deal, which is not yet agreed upon, would likely cost the Angels more than the $210-million, seven-year deal that Rendon rejected from the Washington Nationals earlier.
