Angels surprised José Suarez with promotion after rough AAA outing

SEATTLE — As it turns out, José Suarez got the call to the majors just after he stopped thinking about it.
Suarez, one of the Angels’ top pitching prospects, will make his big league debut Sunday. The Angels are using him to give an extra day of rest to their other starters during this stretch of 20 games without an off day.
