Angels place Matt Shoemaker on the disabled list

ANAHEIM — The Angels have placed Matt Shoemaker on the disabled list with a strained right forearm, the second of their starters go down with an injury in the past three weeks.
There was no immediate word on the nature or severity of Shoemaker’s injury.
Andrew Heaney, who is going to pitch in a minor league game on Friday, is also out with elbow inflammation.
The Angels recalled Parker Bridwell to take Shoemaker’s spot on the roster. Shoemaker did not yet have his next start sc
