Angels Notes: Pitcher Keynan Middleton relishes his first major league call-up

ANAHEIM — As Keynan Middleton threw one scoreless inning after another for the Angels’ Triple-A farm team, the 23-year-old pitcher said thoughts of a promotion didn’t creep into his mind. His focus was on the game, wherever it happened to be.
The Salt Lake Bees were playing in Reno, Nev., when Middleton finally got the call late Thursday night. By Friday afternoon, the Angels’ third-round draft pick in 2013 had a locker at Angel Stadium.
