Angels Notes: Garrett Richards to start at Triple-A on Wednesday

ANAHEIM — Garrett Richards is going to pitch in a game for the first time since April.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Saturday that Richards came through Friday’s simulated game well enough that the plan is for him to start for Triple-A Salt Lake City on Wednesday at Tacoma. Assuming Richards comes through his bullpen session without a problem, he would throw three innings on Wednesday, Scioscia said.
