Angels Notes: Alex Meyer optioned to Triple-A

MINNEAPOLIS — The All-Star break is coming at a bad time for Alex Meyer.
Meyer was optioned to Triple-A on Tuesday, a day after his latest rough outing. It’s a combination of Meyer needing to “work on things,” Manager Mike Scioscia said, and the Angels needing only four starters because of an off-day and next week’s All-Star break.
