Angels make three picks on Day 2 of amateur draft

The Angels kicked off Day 2 of the Major League Baseball draft by selecting David Calabrese. The 17-year-old center fielder from St. Elizabeth High School in Ontario, Canada was selected with the Angels’ third-round draft pick, number 83 overall.
A left-handed hitter with speed (6.88 60-yard dash according to Perfect Game), Calabrese is committed to the University of Arkansas. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, and would add to the Angels’ deep stash of outfield prospects if he signs.
