Angels cut Grant Green from roster to add pitching

ANAHEIM - Grant Green's time with the Angels is likely over, his promise unfulfilled. The Angels designed Green for assignment on Wednesday to clear a 40-man roster spot for left-hander Jo-Jo Reyes, who was added for pitching depth. Green, a product of Canyon High in Anaheim and USC, hit .263 in parts of three seasons with the Angels. Manager Mike Scioscia said Wednesday that it was a tough decision to designate Green, who is now likely to be released once he clears waivers. Starter Matt Shoemak
