Angels add two pitchers on minor-league deals

The Angels have agreed to minor-league deals with right-handers Jacob Barnes and Jake Thompson, with invitations for both to come to spring training.
Barnes, 29, has pitched in 182 big-league games over parts of four seasons, with a 4.25 ERA and 9.3 strikeouts per nine innings. He split last season with the Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals, combining for a 7.44 ERA in 32 2/3 innings. In 2018, he had a 3.33 ERA in 48 2/3 innings with the Brewers.
