Anaheim planning to spend $5.8 million on vehicles
City officials expect to spend up to $5.8 million on new vehicles in the next 12 months.
The City Council recently approved the purchases, which will include vehicles for several departments, mostly to replace aging vehicles.
Among the 71 vehicles the city plans to buy, 23 are patrol cars – for $759,000 total. The Police Department proposes to buy the most vehicles, 32, for about $1 million, including six motorcycles for an expected $168,000.
