Anaheim council’s misplaced priorities
The Anaheim City Council has long been chided for handing out subsidies to Resort Area businesses, so its support for a bailout of a resort-related organization during the coronavirus crisis wasn’t surprising.
It was a case, however, of misbegotten priorities.
Last Thursday, the council supported Mayor Harry Sidhu’s $15 million emergency package. Up to $6 million will provide housing assistance and homeless services, which are understandable expenditures during such difficult times.
