Aliso Niguel’s relay unit has gone from unnoticed to unbeatable

The Aliso Niguel boys 1,600-meter relay team hadn’t done much to be noticed through much of the season.
That changed nearly two weeks ago at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 prelims when the quartet of Isaiah Darden, Andrew Koesel, Trevor Williams and Michael Phillippy finished in 3 minutes, 16.71 seconds to qualify first for the finals and establish the top time in the state this season.
Then, at last Saturday’s CIF-SS Finals at El Camino College, Murrieta Mesa, which competed in
