A.J. Pollock’s recovery delayed by staph infection, not elbow procedure
LOS ANGELES — A.J. Pollock won’t play for the Dodgers until June, and perhaps not until July. The extent of his absence has little to do with his right elbow, but for all practical purposes his story begins there. It’s a story he finally had a chance to tell Monday, when the Dodgers returned home for a nine-game homestand.
On April 25 in Chicago, Pollock was removed after playing eight innings against the Cubs. He wasn’t hurt as far as he could tell.
