Adam West, ‘Batman’ star, dead at 88

HOLLYWOOD – Flowers will be placed today on the Walk of Fame starof Adam West, best known for his campy portrayal of Batman in the 1966-68 ABCseries, Hollywood Walk of Fame officials announced today.
West died Friday night at his Los Angeles home after a battle withleukemia, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which cited a familyspokesperson. He was 88.
