A good season to practice pies

You may feel proud to serve a home-baked cake, but baking a pie takes pride to a whole ‘nother level.
So when Jill Foran unveiled her brand new kitchen, she couldn’t wait to break in her marble counters by inviting some friends to learn to make pie.
We gathered in her Fullerton home: Jill and I, Lynda Trachtman, Barbara Klingsberg and Evelyn Bell – all of Fullerton – and Marilyn Gwosdof of Placentia – rolling pins in hand and eager to learn a few tricks.
