A degree of corruption

In that classic 1978 college documentary, “Animal House,” Dean Vernon Wormer of Faber College offers soon-to-be-ex-student Kent Dorfman a little helpful advice: “Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.”
A lot has changed over the past 40 years. Today Dean Wormer might well say, “Rich, spoiled and privileged is no way to go through life.”
Granted, being rich and privileged — which is redundant — has traditionally been an excellent w
