50-acre fire burning in 3 training areas at Camp Pendleton

About 50 acres have burned between three training areas near the north end of Camp Pendleton, base officials said.
The 50-acre fire was reported to be burning along Basilone and San Mateo roads and near the Quebec, Whiskey and Zulu training areas. Smoke is visible on the southside of San Clemente, according to officials at the base.
There is currently no threat to personnel, structures or surrounding areas.
