5-year-old drowns in Irvine community pool

A 5-year-old girl drowned in an Irvine swimming pool Sunday, July 2, authorities said.
Yuna Chi, of Irvine, was found at 4:23 p.m. in a community pool at 120 Spring Valley, according to the Orange County coroner’s office. She was taken to Children’s Hospital of Orange County where she was pronounced dead at 5:08 p.m.
Further details on the drowning were not immediately available.
