5 Freeway widening project reaches this new milestone

Another milestone in the 5 Freeway’s nine-year, 6.7-mile widening project between the 91 and 605 freeways has been reached with the reopening of South Firestone Boulevard on Monday,
Firestone, which had been closed from south of Marquard Avenue to south of Valley View Avenue, is now open, allowing through traffic between Artesia and Alondra boulevards.
