4 people injured after tree falls in Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA Four people were injured Monday, Sept. 25 by a falling tree at Shiffer Park, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 9:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of  Bear Street, said Costa Mesa Fire Department Capt. Chris Coates.
Information about what caused the tree to fall or the severity of the injuries was not available.
Firefighters were at the park trying to determine if there were any more victims, Coates said.
