4 killed in Santiago Canyon-area crash when 2 motorcycles collide head-on

Two motorcycles collided head-on in the Santiago Canyon area of Orange County, leaving four people dead on Sunday, July 7, officials said.
The crash happened on Santiago Canyon Road, about a quarter of a mile south of Hicks Haul Road in the hills south of Irvine Lake and northeast of Lake Forest at about 4:30 p.m., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said. Paramedics found two women and two men dead at the scene.
