3-year-old dies after being struck by car in Stanton

A 3-year-old died Thursday evening when a slow-moving car struck it outside a Stanton apartment complex, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene in the 8000 block of Fillmore Drive, Lt. Wayne Rehnelt said. It was immediately unknown if the child was a boy or girl.
The driver was not arrested. Rehnelt said it appeared that the 6:15 p.m. crash was a “tragic accident.”
