.22-caliber bullets found at Thurston Middle School in Laguna

Thurston Middle School in Laguna Beach is under heavy police surveillance this week following the discovery of unspent .22-caliber bullets.
The first bullet was found by a student Monday, Oct. 14, in a sixth-grade classroom. The student gave it to the teacher and school principal Jenny Salberg contacted the Laguna Beach Police Department’s school resource officer, Cpl. Cornelius Ashton.
Later Monday, another student found a similar bullet on campus and turned it into a staff member. O
