2-year-old horse euthanized after Los Alamitos race

LOS ALAMITOS — Forgot the Rose — a 2-year-old filly — died after injuring herself during a race at Los Alamitos Race Track last weekend, officials said Tuesday.
The horse was hurt during Sunday night’s third race — a 400-yard race for quarter horses — necessitating euthanasia, Mike Marten, a spokesman for the California Horse Racing Board, confirmed to City News Service.
