2 Marines from 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton injured in live-fire training
CAMP PENDLETON — Two Marines assigned to the 1st Marine Division were injured in a live-fire training exercise at Marine Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, military officials said Monday, May 7.
The accident occurred Sunday, as Marines with the 3rd Battalion/4th Marines were practicing movement under live fire, said 1st Lt. Samuel Banks. The battalion-size training exercise involved between 500 and 1,000 Marines who were involved in pre-deployment training, he said.
