2 in Orange County sickened by deer antler tea; company issues recall

A Los Angeles-based company that makes herbal tea out of deer antler is voluntarily recalling its product after two people in Orange County became ill, state health officials announced Monday, May 8.
U.S. Deer Antlers Exports & Imports, Inc. stopped selling the 6-inch by 4-inch plastic tea pouches that contain labeling in the Korean language. There are no other lot bar codes or “best if used by” dates on the packaging, according to the California Department of Public Health.
