17-year-old passenger is 2nd person dead in Silverado crash

SILVERADO — A 17-year-old passenger was the second victim to die on Saturday when a sedan veered off Silverado Canyon road and struck a tree.
The passenger, Colton Mondy of Garden Grove, was identified Sunday morning by the Orange County Coroner’s office.
Coroner’s investigator Kelly Keyes said Mondy died at 6:48 a.m. Saturday at UCI Medical Center. She did not know where Mondy had been sitting in the car.
