11,000 U.S. airline catering workers vote to authorize a strike
Catering workers who service flights at Los Angeles International Airport and other airports nationwide have voted to authorize a strike as they lobby for higher wages and more affordable healthcare.
The employees, who prepare, pack and deliver food and beverages served aboard flights for American, Delta, United and other airlines, are members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), International Brotherhood of Teamsters, and Unite Here unions.
