1 killed when SUV hits pole, overturns on 55 Freeway in Costa Mesa

A man was killed Friday night when an SUV hit a light pole and overturned on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway at the 73 Toll Road, the California Highway Patrol said Saturday.
The crash on the northbound freeway happened at 11:34 p.m., the CHP said. The man was declared dead at the scene.
Information on what may have caused the crash and the man’s identity were not immediately available.
