1 killed in 710 Freeway crash in Long Beach

LONG BEACH — One person was killed in a crash early Thursday morning on the southbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach, and a stretch of the freeway is closed until further notice.
The crash occurred about 3:45 a.m. just south of the 405 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident prompted the closure of the southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway, south of the 405, as well as the southbound 405 transition to the southbound 710, the CHP said.
