Xcel Energy reports most customers have power restored
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – After wind speeds reached up to 75 miles an hour in southeast New Mexico over the past few days, Xcel Energy says they have restored power to nearly all customers affected by the windstorm. While nearly all 68,000 customers have power restored, Xcel says parts of southeastern New Mexico may need to have another public safety power shutoff this Tuesday.That is estimated to impact less than 2,000 people in New Mexico and Texas.
