Wrong-way I-5 driver hits truck with hydrochloric acid

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (KOIN) — A wrong-way driver slammed into a semi-truck carrying hydrochloric acid on I-5 north of Grants Pass in the very early hours of Sunday.
The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, ODOT said in a release. The crash caused the acid to leak onto the road, and hazmat teams were called in from Medford.
Traffic was slowed in the area until 8:30 a.m.
No information about the crash itself or any injuries has yet been released.
