Western New Mexico University museum facing renovation

SILVER CITY, N.M. (AP) – The museum at Western New Mexico University which holds an extensive collection of prehistoric American Indian pottery and blankets will close temporary for renovation.
Officials say construction is scheduled to begin in August and end the fall of 2017 to renovate the nationally registered historic building.
