Weekend closure scheduled for Avenida Cesar Chavez bridge construction

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A very busy bridge is going to be shut down for the next few days. Avenida Cesar Chavez is undergoing a major reconstruction project.
Part of that includes the bridge over the tracks between Broadway and 3rd Street. The bridge will be closed starting Friday night and will last through Monday morning.
All traffic will be detoured along Broadway to the Lead and Coal bridges. Drivers who use Lead and Coal regularly should expect more traffic through t
