Weather service: New Mexico ends years-long drought streak
ALBUQUERQUE (AP) – Portions of western and southern New Mexico remain abnormally dry but the National Weather Service says this week marks the first time there has been no short-term drought in the state since late November 2010.
November saw precipitation at near or above normal levels as storms dropped rain and snow on the state.
Previously, an overall drying trend in August and September was reversed in October as storms delivered rain and mountain snow throughout the month.
