Warm weather and strong winds impact New Mexico

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Some pockets of chilly rain activity that are moving east with a few lightning strikes, as well as wet snowflakes, are mixing in with the clouds north of the Metro. Despite still above-normal temperatures in the Rio Grande Valley to southern communities of New Mexico with many starting off in the 50s to the low 60s, around-freezing temperatures are occurring in the northern mountains, with mostly calmer winds for now.Forecast Continues Below
