Warm through the weekend

It was an exceptionally cold morning across New Mexico Today. However, the cold weather will not be lasting for very long.
Last night saw cold temperatures we haven't seen in the Metro since February. These cold temperatures were possible due to the dry air, calm winds, and clear skies. Overnight clouds can act as an insulator and trap heat at the surface. However, when skies are clear heat can escape and temperatures can cool off.
