Volunteers restore ambulance for World War II medic

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Volunteers at a local museum have restored a World War II veteran’s old ambulance and presented it to him on Saturday.
Tom Grasser was reunited with the ambulance he named “Dipsey Doodle” last year at the New Mexico Museum of Military History.
Since then crews have been working to restore Grasser’s “old friend.”
The ambulance was donated to the museum in 2004 by a man out of Santa Fe.
