Verizon workers hold protest, block rush hour traffic in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Protesters spilled out into the streets at Rio Grande near Mountain on Thursday, blocking rush hour traffic. They say it was all to get their message across to Verizon shareholders.
The group started their protest of the shareholder meeting taking place at the Hotel Albuquerque around 8 a.m. Thursday.
During the protest, Albuquerque Police shut down the area and advised drivers to seek alternate routes.
