Vandals take away light from Corrales neighborhood

CORRALES, N.M. (KRQE) – Jimmy Smith and his wife run GRS Music Studios out of their Corrales home on Loma Larga Road, teaching young and aspiring musicians.
Outside the classroom, the studio sign brightens up a quiet neighborhood with no other lighting.
“Everybody kind of uses that to direct themselves around the neighborhood so to speak,” said a neighbor.
Smith says two weeks ago, vandals made using that sign a lot harder, destroying more than half of its lights.
