TOMÉ HILL, N.M. (KRQE) – A vandal has destroyed countless mementos left behind at the Tomé Hill pilgrimage site.
Thousands each year make the pilgrimage as a show of their faith, but this week when people reached the top Thursday, they say they found a sign of someone’s ignorance.
It’s a spiritual, serene place, where for countless years people have been going to pray and remember loved ones, leaving mementos in their honor. But Thursday the shrine was a mess.
