University of New Mexico to run siren system drill

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s only a five-minute drill, but it could save lives. Tuesday, the University of New Mexico is running its siren system test as part of its Emergency Warning System.
The siren alerts those on campus when it’s dangerous to be outside. It could sound for a lightning storm, a tornado, even an armed attacker.
When the siren sounds, everyone on campus should go inside and find the nearest interior room or hallway.
