Uber, Lyft bill on New Mexico impasse heads to full Senate
SANTA FE (AP) – A bill aimed at welcoming and regulating ride-booking companies like Uber and Lyft in New Mexico is headed to the full state Senate.
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted Tuesday to move the proposal to the Democratic-led Senate despite objections from traditional taxi companies.
The GOP-led House overwhelmingly passed the measure 58-8 earlier this month.
