Turquoise Alert System for missing Indigenous people moves through legislature
SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Lawmakers are pushing legislation to help when an endangered tribal or pueblo member goes missing. The Democratic bill, SB 41, would create a new statewide alert system to notify the public. The "Turquoise Alert System" would be similar to the Brittany or Silver alerts.
