Trial rescheduled in Tai Chan murder case
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – A new trial date has been set for the Santa Fe County Deputy accused of murdering a fellow deputy.
A judge declared a mistrial in Tai Chan’s first murder trial last week after jurors say they could not come up with a verdict.
Chan is accused of shooting and killing Jeremy Martin after a night of drinking in Las Cruces in 2014.
According to New Mexico courts, Chan’s new trial is scheduled to start November 28th in Las Cruces District Court.
