Three killed in head-on collision on U.S. 550

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A tragic start to the Memorial Day weekend. Three people are dead after a head on collision on a busy highway that was shut down for hours.
One car is a mangled piece of metal after officials say it collided with a truck head on. It happened at about 10:00 Friday morning on U.S. 550.
Sandoval County deputies say one vehicle was traveling northbound and the other southbound when one crossed the center lane causing the collision. Two men and a woman were killed in
