Three killed in crash near Shiprock

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police responded to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash involving City of Farmington employees on Wednesday night.
It happened around 8:20 p.m. on US 491, north of Shiprock, New Mexico.
Chase Powell and Joe Schmidt who worked for the City of Farmington’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department at the Piñon Hills Golf Course, suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
