Temperatures cooling as more rain and snow move in

Rainfall continues in southeastern New Mexico as the northeast prepared for winter storm levels of snow over the next few days.
A low pressure system continues to make its way towards southwestern New Mexico this afternoon. This storm system is bringing ample amounts of upper level moisture with it. This storm system and upper level moisture are expected to last through Saturday night and into Sunday morning. The result will be widespread rain and snow over the next few days.
