Temperature rollercoaster with dust today then rain/snow ahead
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Fast-moving wispy clouds are occasionally passing through but it's mostly clear for most with southwesterly winds starting to pick up for a few areas, which is allowing for air to descend down the east slopes of the mountains while leading to a warmer effect at the dry surface, resulting in the above-normal morning temperatures in the Rio Grande Valley to southern communities of New Mexico with many starting off in the 50s to the 60s, while around-freezing temperatures
